Instrument: Bassoon THS Class of: 2014 Continued Education at: Hope College Current Update: December 2015 I just wanted to let the TCB community know that I have been chosen as one of the winners of Hope College's annual Concerto-Aria competition! As a result, I will be soloing with the Hope College Orchestra on Saturday, February 20, 2016. The concert will be held in Hope College's new concert hall at the Jack H. Miller Center for the Musical Arts. I'm so grateful that TCB prepared me as well as it did to be successful in my continuing musical endeavors, and I just wanted to say thank you.

Instrument: Percussion THS Class of: 2011 Continued Education at: Peabody Conservatory, MM Percussion '17 University of Michigan, BM Percussion '15 Minor, Performing Arts Management Current Update: May 2017 Now that I've graduated from Peabody, I am starting a new full time position as Managing Director of Community Concerts at Second, a local classical and chamber music series in Baltimore. In addition to performing as freelance percussionist, I'll also continue to perform with the Kris Johnson Group. We're releasing our newest album, the Unpaved Road, with a CD release tour in late August 2017. * www.christinamanceor.com My experience with the Troy High has truly inspired my interest in music and served as great foundation for my college experience. I can't thank Mr. Nutting enough for his never-ending dedication to his students and the band program. I love staying involved through band camp and coming back to visit whenever I can!

Crash Detroit: I would like to invite anyone/everyone to Crash Detroit! It's our annual music festival featuring marching bands from around the country. It's the 3rd weekend of July (16th and 17 but this is subject to change) and we've had a blast hosting this event of music and art. The event is 2 parts. On Friday night our band splits up amongst all the visiting bands and escorts them around Downtown, Corktown, and Midtown (usually to bars and other late night events). Saturday is a family friendly event - we take over Roosevelt park in front of the old train station on Michigan Ave and have tents, food vendors, art, drinks, and music from about 1pm until 9pm!
