FAQs
Find answers to your questions about our ensembles and classes, including schedules and commitments.
Our ensembles include the Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band, Cadet Band, and Campus Band. Each group offers unique opportunities for musical growth and performance. Students can choose based on their interests and skill levels.
Practice schedules vary by ensemble and are provided at the start of each term. Typically, concert ensemble rehearsals occur during school and may include weekend events. Students should check the calendar for specific times.
Marching band rehearsals take place on Mondays, from 2:30-5 pm. In addition, marching band students attend a weekly sectional starting in the Summer and continuing for the duration of the season (usually mid to late October).
Yes, performances are a key part of our program and are considered mandatory. Participation helps students build confidence and showcase their hard work. Advance notice is given for all performance dates in the form of a performance contract (one for marching band and one for concert season).
Interested students can sign up during registration periods or contact the band directors. Auditions are required for all ensembles except Campus Band. We welcome all skill levels and encourage everyone to participate.
Members of Symphonic, Concert, and Cadet bands are required to march during the fall marching season. If students are not interested in marching, they can audition for and join the other ensembles that do not have the marching requirement, namely Jazz Ensemble and Campus Band.
